The First Message to a Domme, and Why Most Get Deleted

The same three mistakes account for most of the messages that get deleted without a reply. Here is what to avoid, and what to write instead.

Mistake one: asking what she charges

This is the single most common mistake. It signals that you have mistaken her for a paid professional, which is not what this site is. Nobody here is selling sessions, and asking the question, however politely, usually ends the conversation before it begins.

Mistake two: opening with something explicit

Before either of you has agreed to that kind of conversation, an explicit opening reads as presumptuous rather than confident. It tells her you have not read anything about who she is, only what you want.

Mistake three: assuming a specific scenario

Assuming she is into a particular kink or role without asking is another fast way to be deleted. She has not told you what she wants yet. Ask, do not assume.

What to write instead

Read her profile properly and refer to something specific in it. Say plainly what you are looking for, in general terms, without assuming she wants the same. Ask a genuine question that shows you want to know more about her, not just about what she can do for you.

These are illustrative examples written by us, not real member profiles.

Weak: "Hey, what do you charge for a session?"

Better: "Hello, I noticed you mentioned you're new to London. I'm based here too and have been on the site a few months. I'm interested in a female-led dynamic and wanted to say hello properly rather than send something generic. What are you hoping to find here?"

After the first message

If the conversation continues, limits, safewords and negotiating before anything happens covers how to talk about what either of you wants once things get more specific.
